Taylormade is one of the world’s biggest golf equipment companies right now. It is actually a subsidiary company of the Adidas Group, and is known to produce various golf clubs, bags, and accessories. Taylormade’s initial success came from its innovative metal drivers, which debuted back in 1979 and have dominated the market subsequently. Now, if you are looking for some irons, there are two models that may have captured your attention: Taylormade RBZ irons and Taylormade Burner 2.0 irons. Both are quite popular on the market. How do they compare to each other? In order to choose the best irons, continue reading below!
Taylormade RBZ irons come with the new vibration and sound control system that aims to promote the feel and sound. As we all know, the feel and sound of a golf club upon impact with the ball are real factors that affect how we play. A solid feel and sound will help us to be more confident, and they also make it easier for us to determine if our shots were right or faulty. Taylormade RBZ irons also come with an ultra thin face that flexes freely, promoting the COR up to the allowed limit to deliver high ball speed. The re-designed face has a new “Toe-Bar” to control the face-flexion to direct straighter shots. The 3, 4, and 5 irons have two-piece metal construction to create a low center of gravity and high COR. However, the looks of Taylormade RBZ irons are very different from the typical irons. So, appearance-wise, you are going to either love it or hate it.
Quite similarly, Taylormade Burner 2.0 also offers high COR levels, resulted from the combination of the ultra-thin face and large unsupported face. Each of the irons has been individually engineered to deliver enhanced and uniform distances, improved playability, also great sound and feel. The CG location on each head is precision-placed to optimize long, middle, and short flights.
In general, Taylormade Burner 2.0 has received more positive reviews than Taylormade RBZ irons. The issue with Taylormade RBZ irons, besides the rather annoying looks, is also that they are not very forgiving. Considering the price, this is quite disappointing. The improved COR is not a significant improvement if the club can’t hit well for you. On the other hand, the longer loft of Taylormade Burner 2.0 is highly beneficial. Taylormade Burner 2.0 is more forgiving, yet still providing great speeds and distances. The appearance is better, too.
Taylormade RBZ Irons Vs Burner 2.0
Between the two, Taylormade Burner 2.0 is the winner. It is more forgiving, yet still able to deliver great speeds and distances. It also looks better.
