Halo XRT 6x24 Rangefinder Review - Sleek and Cool, for Golf and Hunting

Having a weight of 11 ounces, perhaps Halo XRT 6×24 Rangefinder is not among the lightest laser rangefinder model, but it is still pretty light not to cause fatigue when you bring it along for some time. It is quite compact in size, allowing you to hold it in one hand comfortably. The upper and lower surfaces are curved ergonomically to follow the contour of your hand. They are also textured well to promote a solid and firm handling. It certainly will not slip any easily from your hand during usage or travel. The body is also very rugged and durable despite the low, affordable price. It is conveniently water resistant, so you don’t need to worry about it getting wet under your sweat or some rain (not excessively, though).

Halo XRT 6×24 Rangefinder comes with a maximum measurement range of 500 yards, which should be sufficient for most purposes. The plus-minus 1-yard accuracy is very reliable. However, Halo XRT 6×24 Rangefinder basically requires some two-handed operation, as you will need to adjust the focus by rotating the ocular lens. There are two operation modes available: “single-shot mode”, in which the device will inform you the distance to the object it is aimed at when activated, and “scan mode”, in which it will give you real-time distance information as you sweep it across the view. You can change the unit of measurement between meters and yards as you wish.

Another great thing about Halo XRT 6×24 Rangefinder is that, much like Halo XRT6 in our previous article, its lenses are given anti-fog coating. Hence, you can still use it even under bad weather. Unfortunately, the LCD screen is not very bright when it comes to low-light conditions.
